WOMBThere are two Hebrew words that are translated as the word 'womb' in scripture. One is beten, and is used commonly to express the area of the belly. The other word is used exclusively to speak of the home of the first 9 months of a child. This word is rechem. Rechem is from the root racham, and is, in it's root, the word for compassion and mercy. It's root meaning is 'protection from harm'. In general, in the past 6000 years or so, the womb was the safest place for a child to be, a place where he or she would be protected from harm, which is the root of true compassion and mercy. This was YHVH's design from the beginning. However, in the past 30 years it has been the most dangerous place for a child to grow in.
